Vienna-Falls Daytimers
The Vienna-Falls Daytimers is a small group of singers from our chorus that rehearses and performs during week days and at special events.
Sound Advice often performs on shows, gives customized performances at various personal/family and business events, and even delivers singing Valentines, Christmas grams and Birthday wishes in song- in person or over the telephone.
A little about the members of Sound Advice:
Our tenor, Ginger, is an elementary school music teacher and mom of 3 grown kids. Teaching throughout the Pandemics have proven to be challenging, but also given her the opportunity to learn a few new "on-line" skills. She is thrilled to be a new Grandmother and looking forward to more family time. She is the Vienna-Falls chorus' Associate Director and tenor section leader. She lives with her retired husband in Fairfax Station.
Bonnie, our bass, is the only native of the northern virginia area. Born from a large family and looking forward to resuming their large family gatherings. She works part-time for a local gas company and in her spare time for her son's construction business. She enjoys traveling with her husband and can't wait to get back to their "get away trips". Bonnie and her husband live in the city of Fairfax.
Carrie, lead, is just beginning to understand what "empty nest" means with both her kids off to college. She works for a non-profit organizatiion doing aviation research. She has learned to enjoy working from home and plans to continue as long as they will allow. She is an Assistant Director and Lead sectioin leader for the Vienna-Falls Chorus. She lives in Leesburg with her husband and dog, Zoe.
Beth has sung with many choruses following her Marine Corps husband around the globe.. In addition to being Sound Advice's baritone, she is the Vienna-Falls' choreographer and baritone section leader,. Beth is an advocate and educational consultant for families of children with special needs, Her three adult children live in the area and she loves being a grandma. "Who knew it was so much fun to spoil them and give them back!"
Although they all come from different backgrounds, the one thing they have in common outside of singing is motherhood, having 10 children among them. Giving "sound advice" is one thing they all agree on!
Sound Advice has been singing together since 1999 and has won many awards including the 2010 Sweet Adeline Region 14 Quartet Championship. Throughout all these years together, all four have managed to remain married to their first husbands, all of whom are left-handed. What are the odds of that?
